New version of SIRDOOM: Version 3.5 of Sirdoom is now available. This
version is necessary now that we have installed a new version of Game
Connection. The new Game Connection along with the new version of Sirdoom
now supports 8-player Hexen and should provide for faster, more stable game
play in DOOM, DOOM2, Heretic, Hexen, Civ-net and Duke Nukem 3D.

You can find it in the TWC library on the board, on ftp.cdrom.com/pub/idgames/themes/twc/twc3496a.zip, or you can get it straight from their home page. This release is their largest yet and includes 20 levels from 12 members of TWC. |

- New Lines!
- Netherworld adding new lines: In the next few weeks The Netherworld will be adding at least 6 new lines to the 18 that it has now. The new lines will be the result of us installing a T1 which will not only add to the capacity of the board but should improve the performance of all the games as well. After a short period of time for assessing how well the load is handled by the new communications hardware we will determine if we will should add another T1 and bring the line capacity to 48.
- Quake Coming to Netherworld!
- Quake: We are researching, now, the technical issues involved with bringing support for Quake to The Netherworld. Most of the work in this area will have to wait until id releases the game or at least more is known about what types of network protocols it will support. Check in often for progress in this area.
